Our private work varies with the country, climate, landscape and location. It may involve a country garden in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, or Greece, to the rejuvenation of a large town garden in Notting Hill or a narrow balcony overlooking a London garden square.

Characteristically we enjoy using contrast to develop the personality of the design. This can take different forms whether by contrasts in light & colour, variation of scale in the design of the horizontal or vertical plane or by the juxtaposition of contemporary sculpture within a historic site to provide a contrast in cultural narrative.

Our planting strategies are influenced by many years of work in the Mediterranean where the symbiosis between agricultural and horticultural traditions permeate the garden and landscape. This manifests itself through the master-plan aesthetic, the choice of plants, their use and careful calibration in respect of maintenance skills and costs.
