Willesden Lane Streetscape

We worked with Anna Dennemann Associates & the local residents association in northwest London to develop a scheme to bring pedestrian life back to a busy, noisy and polluted street. Plagued by heavy traffic, a confused visual environment of billboards and bins it was devoid of trees and planting. Detailed analysis of existing conditions revealed obvious scope for improvement. Over time, green spaces have been created to provide a quiet, secure and safe environment. With traffic calming & traffic flow reduction measures a less aggressive and more welcoming street character is emerging.
